Feel the fear and do it anyways --
This is one of our favorite quotes to repeat. So what if it's scary? We all have things that scare us. But it’s what you do with the fear that counts. That is something you always live by!

Did you notice our bridge is constructed to look like the pen tool in illustrator? All who enter know this is the Castle for Designers.

Once you cross over the bridge and come Inside the world of TBC, you’ll be met with a safe space where there is room for all creatives to be heard, seen, validated, kept accountable, and uplifted. We believe there is room for every single one of us in this industry.

Notice how the bushes are either chickens or butterflies? That’s a nod to Kenzi’s and Marisa’s personal brands.

Did you know that when TBC was started, Coach Kenzi and Coach Marisa hadn’t even met in real life yet? They met on Club House and instantly became besties! They met 6 months after they started the company and did a photoshoot together in New York where they had a picnic in front of a famous private school.

Our students often form tight knit groups throughout the semester, and some even participate in Study Hall and co-working calls outside of the regular TBC curriculum to provide each other with extra support.

DBA Elementary is one of our retired design courses that was originally a self-paced program for complete graphic design newbies who wanted to learn about basic design principles and design history.

This iconic scene was inspired from when Coach Marisa drew on a bathroom mirror in their first ever photoshoot.

Playing games is one of our favorite parts of our exclusive After Dark parties with Beta Phi Zeta Sorority. This is Coach Marisa's infamous football drawing from our first ever After Dark party.

Coach Marisa and Coach Kenzi hand pack every DBA University Student Welcome and Beta Phi Zeta Sorority box full of office and self-care goodies to help students throughout the semester.

DBA High School is another one of our retired design courses that was originally a self-paced program for designers who already understood basic design principles, but needed help fine tuning their Adobe Illustrator skills before moving onto DBA University.

Many of our DBA University graduates pursue hobbies outside of design. In fact, Coach Kenzi, Robin, and two of our graduates who met within the university all have their very own design-related podcasts! Check them out here!

Did you know that TBC offers an exclusive line of designer-related merch? Some of it is even designed by our very own Alumni! Check it out in the Campus Store!

DBA University is one of the highest level programs at The Brief Collective. Within the university designers learn during a 3-month semester how to better operate and scale their businesses through tailored lessons on elevating the client experience, how to come up with a content strategy, how to legalize their businesses, and more!

DBA University students are given a student handbook complete with a course schedule, syllabus, and homework rubric. Students meet for biweekly group coaching calls with the coaches to go over questions and course material. At the end of the semester students turn in a capstone project for a final grade before receiving their official graduation certificates (subject to pass/fail).

Robin of Brands By Robin acts as our school Guidance Counselor. She is passionate about mental well being and self expression and uses this to inspire confidence in other designers in everything she does. Robin brings vibrant energy and community-building spirit to the TBC team, the DBA students & the Beta Phi Zeta Sorority Sisters.

Beta Phi Zeta is the first and only online design sorority. For a small extra enrollment fee DBA University students can become Beta Phi Zeta sisters to participate in exclusive After Dark parties, receive a coveted sorority welcome box full of goodies (hello merch), receive extra mentorship from our Big Sisters (DBA Alumni), and more!

Like a real life sorority Beta Phi Zeta even has its very House Mom! Sophie is a DBA University Semester 2 graduate and alumni who is available for extra mentorship and guidance throughout students' DBA and Beta Phi Zeta journeys.

Did you know that TBC offers amazing resources including a freelance directory, design workshops, discounts to our favorite tools, and even our very own customizable Showit templates and mockups? Check them out here!

After Dark parties are exclusive biweekly calls for Beta Phi Zeta Sorority sisters. These calls are where we put professionalism aside and hang out with one another on a more personal level while playing games and completing mindful activities.

DBA Tech Institute is our newest DBA course for designers who  want to learn how to design on Showit and book higher paying clients by offering strategic web design. Our first semester starts early 2024!

When you join DBA University or DBA Tech Institute you get access to "the hallway" where you'll be assigned your very own customizable locker to keep track of assignments throughout the semester.

Our DBA Alumni are the backbone of all things Design BIz Academy. The Valedictorian Mastermind program is invite-only to DBA University and Tech Institute graduates who show exceptional growth and progress. Alumni receive weekly group coaching calls, exclusive guest masterclasses from industry celebrities, access to our business growth planner, and insider access to all things TBC and DBA. They also have the opportunity to mentor incoming DBA University and Tech Institute students as Beta Phi Zeta Big Sisters.

When we first started The Brief Collective we never could've imagined just how strong the friendships formed within The Design Biz Academy would be. We are so thankful for our amazing community of students across the world. Fun fact: Many of the characters within this illustration are based on real life DBA graduates! Can you identify any familiar faces?

The DBA curriculum provides everything you need to become a successful freelance designer from start to finish. The path to success may be long, but who said it has to be hard?

Our DBA University students PUT IN THE WORK, and deserve to be celebrated. It’s not easy to accept help, realize you don’t know it all, and to improve yourself - especially as a creative. We are so proud of each and every one of our graduates!

Many DBA graduates move onto to become alumni in our Valedictorian Mastermind program where they remain in Beta Phi Zeta sorority and continue to partake in sorority events and activities.

Our DBA Alumni are there every step of the way to provide extra mentorship and guidance to our students. Do you recognize anyone in the stands?

Each semester brings with it new students, each with their own varying and unique experiences. We've had several gold nuggets of humor and wisdom born from our conversations that have really stuck with us and our graduates.

Just because our students graduate from DBA doesn't mean that our support ends there. Whether they become alumni or not, we'll always be available to support our students post-graduation!

Our first ever TBC retreat is happening in Spring 2024! The theme is High Tea and it will be the first time that the majority of our alumni have met in real life!

Our goal for TBC is to set designers up for wild success within their own business endeavors. As students graduate from the program and move on to new adventures our doors will always remain open to where we'll be waiting to welcome them back with open arms.
